  • When it comes to emails, texts or other electronic messages, avoid clicking a link without validating the sender and confirming that it is from a trusted source.
  • Never download or open attachments from an unfamiliar sender.
  • Do not rely on a display name without checking the email address behind it. The full email address can usually be seen by hovering over the display name on a personal computer or by clicking on the display name on a mobile phone. We send emails to consumers only from ‘loansville.com’ or ‘loansville.ca’ email addresses.
  • Do not respond to emails, phone calls or text messages that request personal information or your account details. Beware of messages that convey a false sense of urgency or seem suspicious to you in other ways. You can always call us at 1.855.472.3542 or visit us if you’re in doubt if a message comes from us.
  • Ensure that your laptop, desktop and mobile device are protected by up-to-date antivirus software.
  • Do not share your computer or password or other login credentials with an unknown person.
  • Always lock your device that has critical information with a passcode or password that is difficult for anyone to guess.
  • Periodically consider whether it is worthwhile to permanently delete personal information from your various devices.
  • If you notice any suspicious activity, such as fraudulent emails that appear to come from Loansville, please call us at 1.855.472.3542. Also, consider contacting your local law enforcement.
